Your trade Roofers

Jetsy for roofers

After a storm the phone rings for a week. Catch all of it.

Roof jobs are big and the calls come in bunches. Jetsy answers every one, books the inspection, and keeps the insurance paperwork, photos and the signed proposal on one job.

No card for the free trial. English and Spanish. Code CRM27 takes 27% off every month.

Jetsy answers for a roofing company in the moments you cannot pick up: the morning after the storm with eleven calls before 9; on the roof taking 24 photos; in crew week with every crew in its lane. It was built in Arizona by a painting company that runs on it every day, and it works in English and Spanish.

The phone

What a roofing customer hears when Jetsy answers.

It picks up in your business’s name, says it is the virtual assistant and that the call is recorded, finds out what they need, takes the address, offers two times from your calendar, books one and texts the caller. Here is the sample call, written out.

  1. JetsyThanks for calling Top Roofing. I’m the virtual assistant, and this call is recorded. How can I help?
  2. CallerWe have a leak from last night’s storm. Can somebody come look today?
  3. JetsyA storm leak goes first. The owner has times open today, and the look is free. What’s the address?
  4. Caller1420 West Southern Avenue, Mesa.
  5. JetsyGot it. I have today at 2 or today at 5. Which is better for you?
  6. Caller2 is good.
  7. JetsyDone, that’s booked. Can I get your name for the appointment?
  8. CallerIt’s Pat.
  9. JetsyThank you, Pat. I’m texting you the time and the address now. Have a good one!

They ask. Jetsy answers and books.

  1. I have a leak, can someone come look today?”

Jetsy says inspections are free and quotes come after, if that is how you work.

  2. Do you work with insurance claims?”

Jetsy takes the address, the roof type, and whether there is water inside right now.

  3. How much is a new roof on a 1,800 square foot house?”

Jetsy books the inspection and texts you the lead.

A real week

What it looks like for a roofing company.

  1. 1
    The morning after the storm

Eleven calls before 9 am. Jetsy books every inspection and your Today list shows them in driving order.

  2. 2
    On the roof

You take 24 photos on the job. They go on the proposal and the invoice, and the customer sees them on her private page.

  3. 3
    The proposal

A full replacement with the deposit terms and optional add-ons the customer checks herself. She signs on her phone.

  4. 4
    Crew week

The dispatch board shows each crew’s lane. The crew clocks in on the job, and the payroll file comes out at the end of the week.

New for roofers

The newest things Jetsy does for a roofing company.

Each one is already in the app. Open it live in the sample, no sign-up.

  • Several properties and the equipment at each

One customer, more than one address: a home, a rental, a second building, each with its gate code and access notes the crew sees on the job. The equipment at each one (brand, model, serial, install date, warranty end, photos) keeps its own service history, and a warranty ending soon is flagged.

  • Inventory and purchase orders

Parts and materials with a part number, unit cost, reorder point and supplier. Stock at the shop and on each truck. The crew records what they used on a job from their truck and you add it to the invoice at the price-book price. Low stock is listed once a day, and purchase orders go to suppliers by email or print.

  • Dispatch board and crew map

A lane for each crew member. Tap a job to assign it or move its day and time, and overlaps show in red. The map shows where the crew is only while they are working with Jetsy open, and stops after their last job of the day.

    Jetsy 1.0 · $25 See it live →
  • Crew time clock, timesheets and payroll CSV

The crew clocks in, out and on break from the crew app, on a job if they like. You see weekly timesheets per person, fix a missed clock-out, approve a week and it locks, see hours over 40 flagged, and download a payroll file that opens in Excel or Google Sheets.

  • A missed call texted back

Somebody rings and hangs up before you get their name. Within seconds they get a text: “We saw your call but did not catch what you needed. Reply here and we will help.” Once per number per day, between 7am and 10pm, in Spanish if they spoke Spanish. You can use your own words.

The office app

The whole office, on the phone you already have.

Nothing to install. It runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, in English and Spanish with one tap to switch.

  • Proposals and customers — every call, form and proposal in one list, hot ones first. Bring your phone contacts in with a few taps.
  • Quotes written for your trade — a price book so every job is priced the same way, with before and after photos. The customer signs on their phone.
  • Calendar, routes and crew — the day in driving order, a dispatch board, a crew app with a time clock.
  • Invoices and card payments — straight to your bank through your own Stripe account. Deposits too.
  • Follow up — one list of every reason to call or text someone: a quote with no answer, money due, a review to ask.

Questions

What roofers ask before they start.

A storm is pushing water in. What does Jetsy do?

Jetsy stops booking, tells them to call 911 if anyone is in danger, and takes the address, where the water is coming in and a number to reach them. You get a note on your phone right after the call, so you call that one back first.

After a storm, can Jetsy take eleven calls before 9 am?

Yes. It answers every one, takes the address, the roof type and whether there is water inside right now, books the inspection and texts you the lead. Your Today list shows the inspections in driving order.

Where do the photos and the insurance paperwork go?

On the job. The photos you take on the roof go on the proposal and the invoice, the customer sees them on her private page, and the insurance paperwork and the signed proposal stay with that one job.

Can the customer pick add-ons and sign on her phone?

Yes. The proposal carries your deposit terms and optional add-ons the customer checks herself; she sees the total change, signs on her phone and pays the deposit by card through your own Stripe account.

Does Jetsy run the crews?

Yes. The dispatch board shows each crew’s lane, the crew clocks in on the job from the crew app, you see weekly timesheets, and the payroll file comes out at the end of the week.
